Of A Personal Nature

I haven't been able to post lately because I have been running around like a madwoman trying to get ready for my foot surgery (from my fall last March), which is Monday morning. Then I will be a fulltime member of the pajamahadeen for about six weeks while I wait for it to heal.

It has taken all this time for worker's comp to get its act together and authorize some other treatment besides sit with your foot up. I kid you not. Two cortisone shots (frakkin hurt!), no therapy, no MRI's, nothing except elevate the foot. I have to admit that worked fine as long as I left it that way. Heaven forbid that I try to walk or drive. Whole other story. We won't even get into the knee.

Meanwhile, it seems that my thyroid is acting up, or so they say. I feel fine (except for when I think of the US political situation) but it seems that my thyroid is hyper for a few months and then it is hypo. Ooh, I'm so special. Right now the tests are showing both high and low, they figure it is going to crash and burn sometime in the next few months. I'm so lucky to have something to look forward to. I would love to lose weight without my eyes popping out.

Other than that, the patio isn't ready and I'm out of time. I also have no cable or satellite, thank goodness for Netflix and iTunes, though iTunes has been very slow lately, it took hours to download CSI and I can't figure out why.

I need to find some jokes.

  1. Yes, running around with broken glass in my foot sounds soo appealing, but wait, I already have that sensation.

  2. I wish you a speedy recovery, and don't overload on the news (or lack thereof) while you're mending.
