The Holidays Are Over

And for the most part I'm glad, but one downside seems to be, so are they.

Six U.S. Troops Killed in Iraq, Military Says: "In a brief press release Friday, a military spokesman said that a Marine and a soldier died in the attack on an Iraqi police recruitment center in Ramadi that was said to have killed 80 others Thursday. The release said the two were killed in action by a suicide bomb.

Separately, the military said Friday that two soldiers were killed in the Baghdad area Thursday after their vehicle was attacked by a roadside bomb. No further details were provided.

And in Fallujah, the scene of intense fighting last year, two Marines were killed by small-arms fire in separate attacks during combat operations Thursday, the military said.

The deaths of another five troops Thursday had been previously announced. All five American soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in the capital, the U.S. military said."

New year, old story, new people, not acceptable.
