They shut refineries in California because they knew they could drive the price up and blame it on Katrina.

What a load of crap. From the same commission that was worried that medical marijuana grown in California for personal use might infringe on some other states illegal activities. I wouldn't trust these guys to investigate a telephone booth, much less my being gouged by the phone company.

They would say that it is the province of the FCC, another sterling example of cronyism and incompetence.
