Danger, Will Robinson

Methinks they know something and it isn't good for us. The question is...who's really planning it? The cynic in me would like to know since the timing would be oh so convenient.
The United States is safer now than it was before the Sept. 11 attacks, but must not relent in fighting terrorism in Iraq and elsewhere, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Sunday. ''I think it's clear that we are safe -- safer -- but not really yet safe,'' Rice said. ''We've done a lot. In terms of homeland, we're more secure. Our ports are more secure. Our airports are more secure. We have a much stronger intelligence sharing operation,'' said Rice, who was President Bush's national security adviser when al-Qaida masterminded the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Sheesh. Safer than before September 11, 2001? I doubt it since the Middle East is burning in the flames that you created in your misguided effort to bring "democracy" to the region. They hate us with a purple passion.

My favorite part of her continuing disconnect with reality was when she says that once again she didn't see an important report. How many times can the dog eat the homework before the teacher doesn't believe you?
A Senate report released Friday disclosed for the first time that a CIA assessment in October 2005 said Saddam's government ''did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward'' al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates.

Rice said Sunday she does not remember seeing that particular report.
How much do these people get paid? In any other industry they would be unemployed (or removed from the decison making process) for such incompetence. What exactly is the administration looking at if they aren't reading these reports? Camus?

Snicker. I googled my title and found this article. I see it isn't the first time it has been used in this context. And by people much brighter than me.

Update: Clueless, determined to stay there and wants the rest of us to join him. Not happening. Al-Qaeda and Iraq had nothing to do with each other until this administration brought them together. By hook and by crook.

You work for us, supposedly, and if a majority of Americans want us to leave Iraq, we're leaving. Period.

Dead or alive. Bush obviously meant our troops, not Osama bin forgotten until we need him for the elections.

  1. Dear Sweet Jesus... these people scare me more and more every day.

It really makes you wonder when the revolution will begin, as it looks like it may eventually come to that.

  2. I can't believe that these people are that clueless, it has to be part of a plot to lull us with their stupidity...or something like that.

I just have a bad feeling about all this.
