Just a thought

For a party that believes government should be small enough to drown in a bathtub, ala Andrea Yates, why did they hire so many friends?

From Time:

But then came Michael Brown. When President Bush's former point man on disasters was discovered to have more expertise about the rules of Arabian horse competition than about the management of a catastrophe, it was a reminder that the competence of government officials who are not household names can have a life or death impact. The Brown debacle has raised pointed questions about whether political connections, not qualifications, have helped an unusually high number of Bush appointees land vitally important jobs in the Federal Government.

Ok, so why are Jenna and notJenna still unemployed?

  1. "Ok, so why are Jenna and notJenna still unemployed?"

    They're not Republican fundraisers...

  2. Jenna and Barbara are employed. Their resumes list "Official Party Girls! Spring Break! Whoo!" for the last five years.

I also think that the bathtub drowners are doing a pretty good job at subtly hinting that the federal government is crap and should be disbanded. A lame duck president taking blame for federal failure? Brilliant!

Rove finds something to exploit in every tragedy. Legacy Shmegacy. It's corporate theocracy for generations to come, Mr. Bush! Think of the (rich) children!
