CIA Leak Case Court Filing Focuses on Cheney - New York Times: "The notes show Cheney and his former chief of staff, Lewis ''Scooter'' Libby, were "acutely focused'' on the July 6, 2003, article written by Plame's husband, Bush administration critic and former U.S. ambassador Joseph Wilson, said Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald in the pre-trial filing made on Friday. We know they did. Cheney would throw his own mother overboard if he thought it up his survival. He's gotten away with shooting a friend in the face, a crime that you and I would do time for. The fun is going to be who sacrifices whom between Rove and Cheney in an effort to save themselves. Bush will try the Ken Lay defense and get away with it since Pelosi said she wasn't going to waste time impeaching the traitors, (isn't she up for reelection this November?), he will probably skate away on very thin ice.
A Cheney spokeswoman said the matter is a court proceeding and referred a request for comment to Fitzgerald's office.
Fitzgerald said the notes show that Cheney and Libby were focused on Wilson and "on the assertions made in his article, and on responding to those assertions.''
The article asked whether the administration manipulated intelligence in the run-up to the March 2003 invasion of Iraq."
We could hope for a World Court judgement. But we're above all that aren't we? The United States of American Corporations would never admit to wrongdoing. Would it?
