Ah yes, compassion has died and unreasoning stupidity has taken its place. Dropping off passengers in the middle of a national forest with no phone, water or food. Nice, so very nice. Even if he was drunk, which he wasn't, that is no excuse to abandon someone in the wilderness. Worse than that, it wasn't the first time it had been done. Good thing he wasn't on a plane, they probably would have strapped a parachute to him and thrown him out the door.
Oops, another judge refuses to reinstate charges against a Guantanamo detainee. The charges certainly seem bogus to me since it is expected that people die in a war and not just on the enemy's side. Especially during a firefight. I guess the enemy is expected to just stand there and die without fighting back. The stupidity that this administration has demonstrated has been mind boggling, to say the least.
Science fiction and fantasy books fascinated me while I was growing up. A Wrinkle in Time got the ball started, Star Trek added fuel to the fire and I never looked back. It got so bad at one time that people used to pick up my book and say "hey, where's the dwarf?" The only time I ever read romance novels was when I was married, I got divorced and it was back to the fantasyland that had the possibility of coming true. I also read the usual suspects; Grisham, Ludlum, Robinson, Nance, and Clancy. As soon as I went to Acupuncture school, that all stopped. Now I do most of my reading on the internet so I was excited to find a list of scifi and fantasy authors that blog. Too bad very few of them interest me anymore. Is Robert Jordan ever going to finish the Wheel of Time series? He should have stopped at five, the last few have been very slow so I never finished them.
Now that the iWait is over and the iHype has been confirmed, let the iBashing begin. I still want one.
Fake Steve Jobs is on a roll with some killer money quotes on the debut of the iPhone my favorites are from Brownback and Edwards. And yes, I'm pretty sure some Microtards bought the iPhone. Much love dude.
