It was the kids version of Jeopardy!, the category was The Supreme Court and the question was "in 1925 the court said states, like the federal govt., can't violate this amendment by restricting freedom of speech", and not one kid even tried to answer the question. Nobody rang in, not one of them looked like they knew anything about the immediate subject. Total absolute quiescence, just what you want to see in the general populace.
In one of those countries that America used to protect the world against. Or so they would have you believe.
Oh yeah, the answer was the First Amendment. But you knew that.
