One Monkey Trial Down

Why did they even bother? The results of this "trial" were a forgone conclusion, sort of like letting the people in New Orleans suffer. People want revenge against anyone they can get their hands on, juries are usually made up of 12 stupid people who couldn't come up with a good enough excuse to get out of the process. We want someone dead, as if that would make 9/11 better.
Moussaoui Found Eligible for Death: "After 17 hours of deliberation over four days, the jury concluded that Moussaoui's lies to federal agents in August 2001 allowed the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon to go forward. The verdict in U.S. District Court in Alexandria sends Moussaoui's death penalty trial to a second phase, in which prosecutors will argue that he should be executed while defense attorneys try to spare his life.

Outside the courthouse, Rosemary Dillard, whose husband died on the plane that hit the Pentagon, said Zacarias Moussaoui deserves to die.
Your husband will still be dead and Mousaaoui will still been in jail for the previous month.
Moussaoui Eligible for Death Penalty
Washington Post staff writer Jerry Markon, who has been covering the trial of 9/11 suspect Zacarias Moussaoui, discusses the jury's decision Monday to allow for the possibility of a death sentence and what comes next in the trial.

A 12-member jury has determined that Zacarias Moussaoui, who pleaded guilty last April to six counts of conspiring with al Qaeda in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, is eligible to be executed.
Eligible? Like he would get appeals, I say the day before the election he fries if they can arrange it.

Then it is on to frying Saddam, since Milosevic escaped earthly punishment.
