Sent To The Governator

This is a copy of an email I just sent to our illustrious governor in regards to his new budget proposal.

Dear Sir,

Your budge proposal is a travesty. Once again you are determined to balance the budget on the backs of the poor, the elderly, the ill and the infirm. As our economy fails and the rest of the world moves into the future, our children will have neither the knowledge or the training to compete in a global economy.

In your haste to compensate those who already have more than they need, you will take from those who have no recourse to improving their lives. As we fall further and further behind, you are making it difficult to catch up and impossible to move ahead. Whether you like it or not, taxes need to be raised, not cut, and our services definitely have taken all the surgery they can tolerate.

Perhaps you could spend a little more time thinking about what is best for the state as a whole and not just what is good for your campaign donors. I realize that this will be read by eyes that are blinded by a desire to hold onto a mythical past and not by eyes that are wide open and determined to make the future better for everyone, not worse for those who have no influence.

Thank you so much for ignoring the little people and making it crystal clear to everyone that California is the state where we throw the babies out with the bathwater and bring in champagne for the elite to bathe in.

  1. That letter could have been sent to Emperor Bush except he doesn't try and balance the budget, he just throws everything on the backs of the working and the poor.
